Nigerian reality TV star Tega Dominic has opened up about her experience after leaving the Big Brother house, revealing that she would not encourage close friends to audition for the show.

Speaking candidly, Tega disclosed that she battled anxiety and struggled with her mental health after the show, particularly finding it difficult to navigate social environments on her own.

She stressed that participating in Big Brother requires a high level of mental strength, warning that the experience can be overwhelming for those unprepared.

“I won’t tell anybody close to me to go for Big Brother. If you’re not mentally strong, don’t go,” she said. “After Big Brother, I used to have anxiety—it became worse. I had social anxiety; I couldn’t go to spaces if I was alone. I can give hugs, but I can’t receive hugs.”

Her comments highlight the psychological impact reality TV exposure can have on participants, sparking renewed conversations around mental health support for contestants before and after appearing on such platforms.
