Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Begin Australia Tour Blending Charity and Commercial Events
FEATURED
The Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, have arrived in Australia for a four-day visit that combines charitable engagements with private commercial appearances.
The couple, who are no longer working members of the British royal family, are visiting in a private capacity. Their itinerary includes meetings with patients and medical staff at a children’s hospital, as well as interactions with military veterans, their families, and survivors of domestic violence.
Alongside these engagements, the tour also features high-profile commercial activities. Prince Harry is scheduled to deliver a keynote address at a summit where ticket prices reportedly reach up to A$2,400 (£1,260) per attendee.
Meghan Markle is also expected to participate in an “in-person conversation” at a women-only “girls weekend” event in Sydney, organised by the producers of the Her Best Life podcast.
Details surrounding the financial arrangements for these appearances have not been disclosed.
The couple arrived at Melbourne Airport early Tuesday morning on a commercial Qantas flight from Los Angeles.
This marks their first visit to Australia since 2018, when they undertook an official royal tour shortly after their marriage, drawing large crowds across multiple locations.
Unlike that previous trip, no public meet-and-greet events have been scheduled for this visit.
