The Ogun State Government has announced that all public and private primary and secondary schools, as well as government technical colleges, will resume for the third term of the 2025/2026 academic session on Monday.
The directive was contained in a statement issued by the State Ministry of Education, Science and Technology and signed by the Commissioner, Abayomi Arigbabu.
According to the ministry, the resumption date aligns with the officially approved academic calendar for the ongoing session, marking the beginning of the final term in the school year.
Parents and guardians have been urged to ensure that their wards return to school promptly, as academic activities are expected to commence immediately across all institutions.
“Parents and guardians are enjoined to prepare their wards for immediate resumption as academic work will start without any delay,” the statement read.
Schools in the state had earlier proceeded on break following the conclusion of second-term academic activities.
The third term traditionally represents a critical period in the academic calendar, during which schools complete their syllabuses and conduct promotion as well as external examinations.
Education authorities in the state reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining a structured academic schedule, ensuring that teaching and learning proceed without disruption through the end of the session.
