Kogi PDP endorses Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan with automatic ticket for 2027 senatorial race
Kogi PDP has endorsed Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan as its sole candidate for the 2027 Kogi Central senatorial election, citing her performance and support for the party.

The Kogi State Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has approved an automatic ticket for Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan as its sole candidate for the Kogi Central Senatorial District in the 2027 general election.
The decision was reached during a meeting held at the party’s secretariat in Lokoja, where members unanimously endorsed an earlier approval granted by the State Chairman, Muhammed Gambo.
The committee also reaffirmed Akpoti-Uduaghan’s leadership role within the party in the state, citing her consistent contributions and financial support towards strengthening party structures and activities.
Speaking on behalf of the committee, Gambo commended the senator’s performance in the National Assembly, describing her representation as impactful and effective.
“She has continued to make the party proud through purposeful representation,” he said.
He further highlighted her developmental efforts in the Kogi Central district, noting that her initiatives have significantly improved the lives of constituents.
According to him, her contributions include the construction of schools and markets, provision of housing, and implementation of skills acquisition programmes aimed at empowering residents.
The PDP leadership in the state pledged continued support for the senator, declaring her the unanimous choice for the 2027 senatorial contest in Kogi Central.
The endorsement signals early political positioning within the party ahead of the next general election cycle, as stakeholders consolidate support around key candidates.
