APC Lagelu Stakeholders Meet, Chart Path for Grassroots Growth; Hon. Popoola Babalola Attends, Contributes to Deliberations

Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagelu Local Government Area of Ibadan convened a strategic meeting on Thursday, April 16, 2026, aimed at strengthening party unity and improving overall performance across the council.
The meeting, held at the party office annex, Cele Bus Stop, Iyana Church, brought together key party leaders, ward executives, and members from all 14 wards and units within Lagelu. Representatives from the state executive council were also present, underscoring the importance of the gathering in aligning local strategies with the broader objectives of the party at the state level
Central to discussions was the need to reinforce grassroots mobilization and ensure more effective coordination among party stakeholders and aspirants. Participants deliberated on practical steps to boost participation at the ward level, enhance internal communication, and build a stronger, more united APC structure capable of delivering on its promises to the people.
Hon. Babalola, alongside his team members, was in attendance and actively contributed to deliberations. His continued engagement with party members and the grassroots was acknowledged as a key factor in fostering inclusiveness and strengthening the party’s presence across Lagelu. His focus on developmental priorities such as improved road infrastructure, access to clean water, quality education, healthcare delivery, and economic opportunities for youths and small businesses resonated strongly during the discussions.
Speakers at the meeting emphasized that active participation at the grassroots remains critical to the success of the party, especially as Nigeria’s democracy continues to evolve under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
